Awful Day Ever

It all started with a terrible case of bedhead hair. I couldn't make it to look right. As I was running out the door, I trippedon and spilled all over the carpet. To make matters worse, I was extremely late for school.

I arrived. My {boss|mentor|was absolutely furious. I tried to explain, but it was a hopeless situation.

The rest of the day was an absolute nightmare. was a catastrophe. I get anything done.

By the time I got home, I was completely drained. This day, this atrocious day will be forever remembered as a true disaster.

Things Went From Bad to Absolutely Terrible

It all started out horribly with a simple mishap/incident/screw-up. But then it went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to run away and hide.
